In March, 2003, Olenegorsk Leo Club members made a trip to Lulea, Sweden. The trip was organized by Olenegorsk Lion Club with help and support from Lions Clubs Tore, Lulea, Pajala and Pitea-Ojebyn. It was the first and a successful step of the Project for Youth Exchange through collaboration of members of International Lions Clubs. I would like to express my great thanks to Lennart Wester (LC Tore), Sigge Lilja (LC Lulea), Anders Lundstrom and Tauno Mustonen (LC Pite-Ojebyn), Ingemar Pohjanen and Alf Andersson (LC Pajala), Jorma Kukasjarvi (LC Rovaniemi) for an excellently organized trip programme. The group has visited Teknikens Hus in Lulea, World Heritage in Gammelstad, Pite Havsbad in Pitea and during the evenings they had the opportunity to play basket ball with Swedish young people at Kronan, close to the Youth Hostel Kronan, where they were staying. The aim was to get young people acquainted with Swedish culture, manners and customs.
